Chocolate Pie





  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts

  • 1/3 unsweetened raw cacao powder

  • 1 heaping cup pitted dates 



  • 12 oz dark vegan chocolate

  • 12 oz coconut cream

  • 1/2 cup almond butter




  1. Soak dates in warm water for about 10 mins

  2. Pulse walnuts and cacao powder in a food processor until it reaches a fine texture. Remove and set aside

  3. Drain dates and pulse in a food processor until it turns to a sticky paste.

  4. Add back the walnut and cacao mixture and process until well combined.

  5. Transfer to a springform pan and press to form an even crust.

  6.  Melt chocolate in a double boiler on the stovetop.  

  7. Once melted add to blender along with coconut cream and almond butter. Blend until smooth. 

  8. Pour over crust and refrigerate for at least two hours or until firm to the touch.

  9. Serve topped with fruit of your choice or chocolate shavings.
